With so many happy Hamptons memories, Jean and Chris had no trouble choosing a wedding theme: pale blue invitations announced a Southampton country wedding by the bay.

Summertime in Southampton is a family tradition for Jean and Chris. Their fathers were childhood neighbors in the summer, and the families remain friends to this day. “I even played with Chris and his sisters when they were kids,” says business manager Jean. But it wasn’t until a barbecue thrown by Jean’s uncle that the two reconnected as adults. “Chris had other plans that night but stopped by for a quick hello at his mother’s request,” Jean says. They began dating shortly thereafter, and two years later Chris, a bond trader, proposed on the beach in front of Jean’s home.
